Monastic Site - St. Saviours Church-1
In the Glendalough Valley in County Wicklow in Ireland lies the beautyful ruin St. Saviours Church. A later addition to the Monastic site, hence the design and details have more of a Roman influence. This is because the monks traveled between sites around Europe. I took this picture from outside the church walls as the scenery on the Autumn day drew your eye out beyond the arch way. A visual like this can remind us to look out beyond the walls of the church to the world and its its needs.
